Today, we held a Veterans Day assembly for students in grades 6–12. Retired Lieutenant Colonel Matt Sneed spoke to students about the history and significance of Veterans Day, emphasizing the importance of remembering and honoring those who have served. He then introduced veterans James Smart, Catherine Sowell, and Grady Reynolds, giving students the meaningful opportunity to ask questions and learn directly from their experiences.
The VFW also recognized student achievements in this year’s essay competitions.

Shirley High School hosted their annual college fair on Wednesday. The 3E's participated in the college fair with 17 vendors in attendance from within the state. These representatives provided students with information on Employ, Enlist, and/or Enroll.
Join us Tuesday, November 11 at 7:15 am for our annual Veteran's Day Breakfast! All Veterans and Shirley students eat free! Other visitor trays are $3.00. On the menu is Biscuits & Gravy, Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, Bacon, and Fresh Fruit.
