Next week we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss all week with dress up days. Let's get out and show our school spirit!!!!

The high school (7-10th graders) will be taking Atlas interims this week Monday-Thursday.
Juniors will have an ACT boot camp on Thursday.

Safety of students and staff remain our top priority during the aftermath of our winter weather. Due to some unsafe driving conditions on secondary roads, Shirley SD will be closed on Friday, February 21st. We will resume normal operation on Monday, February 24th. Please be safe.

It’s National FFA Week! 💙💛
Did you know that Shirley FFA received its national charter on October 28, 1949? That means we’ve been proudly wearing the blue corduroy for 75 years! National FFA Week is a time to celebrate the traditions, leadership, and impact of FFA across the country. Since 1948, this special week has taken place during George Washington’s birthday to honor his legacy as a leader in agriculture.
Here’s what our chapter has been up to this year:
🔹 25 active members
🔹 2 members competed in LDEs (Leadership Development Events)
🔹 2 teams competing in CDEs (Career Development Events)
🔹 Our FFA president is advancing to the State Girl Power Contest!
🔹 Countless hours of community service, including volunteering at the county and state fairs
Join us in celebrating FFA this week and recognizing the hard work and dedication of our members. Once an FFA member, always an FFA member! 💙💛 #FFAWeek #ShirleyFFA #BlueJacketsGoldStandards

Due to snow/icy conditions on secondary roads, the Shirley School District will be cancelled tomorrow, February 20th. Administration will conduct another drive around tomorrow afternoon. We will try to post an update in regards to Friday around 4pm tomorrow, so please stay tuned. Please stay safe!

We hope that you and family are enjoying the snow. Due to the forecast of snow continuing to early morning and the deterioration of road conditions, Shirley SD will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19th. Thank you and please be safe in this weather.

With safety of students and staff as our top priority in regards to the incoming winter weather, Shirley School District will be closed Tuesday, February 18th. Please be safe.
