The high school also had a canned food drive in March. The class and student who brought the most cans had the pleasure of pieing Mrs. Clark in the face! The Junior class won, with Jordan Delapaz having the pleasure of delivering the pie. Thank you, Mrs. Clark, for being such a great sport!
The Shirley School District is excited and thankful to partner with Boston Mountain Rural Health Center to offer FREE Kindergarten physicals for any student who will be starting kindergarten with us for the 2025-26 school year.
The end of the year is fast approaching! this is testing week for high school students. We ask that you encourage your students to drop by the cafeteria and grab a good breakfast to help prepare them for their best test scores yet!
Come experience a retelling of the classic story of Peter Pan in this bittersweet production performed by the Shirley High Theater--"My Angel Peter Pan" in the auditorium. The play will be on April 24 @ 6 pm. Admission is $3 per person. Shirley students and kids under 12 are free.

Shirley Elementary has been blessed to have our Kids First math interventionists this year! Not only did they support our3-6 student in math, but they brightened everyone's day with their fun and friendly personalities. You will be missed! We had another great day at Shirley Elementary! We celebrated our great staff and students with food, fun, and excitement. Our staff member of the month for March is Mrs. Susan Howard. Mrs. Howard has taken on a new role this year and is doing a fabulous job! She has to juggle many tasks throughout the day and keep Mr. Ward in line! congratulations, Mrs. Howard.

SHS FBLA students competed at the FBLA State Conference in Little Rock at the State Convention Center. We are all proud of how they represented our school! Congratulations to Hunter McLain for placing 1st in Management Information Systems! Mrs. Celeste Smith is the FBLA sponsor.

5th and 6th grade teachers and students are ramping up for ATLAS testing in a few weeks with an ATLAS Boot Camp! These students are so excited about this. They are showing off what they CAN do and challenging each other. Thank you, teachers, for such a great idea! You're the best!!
Sophomores and Juniors went to the "Build My Future" event yesterday. The students learned about a variety of careers in the construction industry. They also had the opportunity to experience hands-on activities such as welding, bricklaying, extinguishing fire, operating heavy equipment, and building a bridge to name a few. Overall, I think the students learned some new things while having a little fun at the same time.
