The Shirley School District Board of Education is seeking qualified applicants to fill a school board vacancy.
Individuals interested in serving are asked to submit a letter of interest to Superintendent Aaron Wiggins at aaron.wiggins@shirley.k12.ar.us.
After submitting a letter of interest, candidates must obtain a petition for candidacy from the Admin Office or from the County Clerk's Office. Each petition must include a minimum of 20 verified signatures of support from registered voters of the district and a copy from the Clerk’s Office must be returned to the Shirley Public Schools Admin Office no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) on December 2, 2025.
Applicants who have completed all required paperwork by the deadline will be eligible for consideration. The Shirley School Board of Directors will appoint a qualified individual to fill the vacancy during the December board meeting on December 16, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
