Shirley FCCLA students attend Leadership Conference

Shirley FCCLA Chapter from Shirley High School Attended the FCCLA District 2 Leadership Training in Conway, AR September 12, 2019. Conway, AR, September 2019 – Shirley High School was a part of the District 2 Family, Career and Community Leaders of America’s (FCCLA) first ever Leadership Training in Conway, Arkansas September 12, 2019. More than 200 attendees gathered to expand leadership skills, sharpen talents, learn the ins and outs of FCCLA, and listen to our inspiring National Officer, Marcia Williams. This year’s training theme is “Story time with FCCLA” and encouraged students to share their stories of how FCCLA has impacted their lives and their communities. Students and teachers attended breakout sessions on all things FCCLA including: National Programs, STAR Events (student competition), Running for Local, State, and National Office, Fundraising for your chapter, the Arkansas State Project, the National Outreach Project (Lead4Change), Go for the Red: Membership, and FCCLA week. Joshua Wood, Teigha Black, Greyson Berry, Destiny Bartholomew, Sidney Severns, McCrae Turner, Morgan Burgess, Ariel Privitt, Erika Phillips, and Alexis Mascio all attended various breakout sessions.
